Overdose

When xylazine is taken in combination with opioids such as fentanyl, it increases the risk of a life-threatening overdose. Most overdose deaths related to both xylazine and fentanyl also involve additional substances, such as cocaine, benzodiazepines, alcohol, methadone, and prescription opioids.
